Unhappy Crazy Dyno sheets w/n CC306, ect.

I thought I would just go ahead and post these dyno sheets! The first one from CAM was done on 12/06/03. And it had the heads/306 combo.

The second is the HOTcam and of course all the same bolt ons at Precision Dyno.

The new sheet has a bad drop off at 4k. Just want to get some opinions.

Thanks to SMOKINV8 for the bandwidth allowing me to link my dyno sheets

That 306/heads dyno just doesn't look right. My car is configured pretty close to that and I'm making more than 400. What kind of flow numbers are you getting on those heads?

Looking at that first sheet it looks like you're having some opti issues from the jittery lines.

Were these dyno runs done on different dynos? From the looks of the sheets they are. In that case these might not be the best to compare.

I thought about that as well, but that car should make 400rwhp or more on a dynojet. Carolina Auto Masters uses an in-ground dynojet dyno, so I would think the numbers should be within 10-15rwhp or what the other would have been.

The 13.6 A:F ratio looks a little suspicious to me.

I wouldn't put much faith into that HOT cam dyno sheet. Actual #s (instead of SAE), no AF data, mph instead of rpm. I would just take your current 306 dyno as a baseline and start troubleshooting. Good Luck

Those heads were done by GTP. I bought them from John Benton in TX, along w/ the intake, pro mags, and pushrods. I don't exactly know the numbers on them. But he is trustworthy, so that is why I bought them from him.

Wish I would have waited and had them flowed myself.

Hot cam dyno sheet the programming was by Ed Wright and was mail order.

The recent one, was done by PCMforless, mail order. I haven't ever had it dyno tuned

Opti issues? Never thought of that. But the car is not missing in any kind of way, and that opti has only been on for about 5k miles. I do know that the opti can just explode when under a tremendous amount of pressure/hp.

Thanks, I will look into that avenue as well.

Yes, they are different dynos. Like SmoknV8 said, the one at CAM is inground. I just don't see how it could be that off. I am not what you say, comparing it, I was just using it to look back on.

depressing

Both dyno's were on a dynojet so one being inground and the other above ground makes no difference they should both be SAE corrected. if there not both SAE corrected then only the SAE corrected one should be the one to go by.

I have access to a dynojet so I play with it alot and have played with the different correction factors and i have seen the uncorrected pull sometimes make 10 more hp and the STD correction sometimes make 20+hp than SAE.
The dyno's are usually less than 5hp off from each other when the SAE is used.

There is something really off.

This is my concern. I don't know what is off. And I really don't know exactly where to start.
