Inline fuel pump on stock car

Can you use a aftermarket in-line fuel pump on a stock car? I think mine may be going bad and I'm assuming it'll be a lot easier to install an in-line on than to replace the stock one.

Won't work if the stock pump is weak or not working. The inline pump can't pull good volume through the stock pump if its not working. You'll also run the risk of flashing the fuel in the suction line to the inline pump.
