I'm Really Hating My Car Right Now!!!
My 93 Z28 is becoming the car from hell! i just replaced the power steering pressure line and the metal cooling line in front of the rack and pinion gets a hole! on top of that, an exhaust manifold gasket is through! now the car misfires like crazy and dies on me in the middle of traffic! my driver side window needs a regulator and the headliner is beginning to sag. it seems like after all the care and money i put into this car was for nothing! this car is almost new under the rough body! What would you do? Unfortunately, 69 Camaros are way outta my price range! Tell me your opinions. Please!!!

Just look for the best buys to keep costs down.

Its like having a 13 year old daughter. The more you spent the more you're going to have to spend.
Fix the problems the headliner sags on my car. The headliner is coming out and a new liner will be fitted this winter. You'll find the more you work on your car the more you'll have trouble getting rid of it.

I've seen worse. My friend has an 01 WS6 that is a salvage and was poorly rebuilt. Nothing works. The body is rough all around, and his dash is lit up like a christmas tree. I know how frustrating it is. Try not having any signals, wipers, or a window that won't roll down..or even a speedo , bad opti, plugs and wires for that matter! Happened to me, those repairs are relatively simple. Don;t panic.

Thanks guys. I agree that the car is showing it's age, but it's just frustrating when all this mess happens at once and this is my main ride. thos who know me know i baby this car when possible. mobil 1 oil, ac delco platinums, msd coil pack, cold air intake, rebuilt trans with b&m shift kit and corvette servos (the trans is from an 84 pickup. got rid of that electronic crap!). I'm trying to get this thing 100% so i can start doing the fun stuff like you guys are doing, but just ain't making the money at work. everytime i wanna get the msd box and cap and rotor, these little problems always hit! i think i'll do like Barry White and name my Camaro Christine! Lol. the funny thing is, i can't even give this car away in most places.

Throw those AC delco plugs in the trash...
I worked for AutoZone for almost a year and have never seen more ticked off people then ones who bought AC delco plugs. most common complaint is the car runs worse.
Do not pin up the headliner if you plan to recover the existing one. Pins will destroy the backing make it flimbsy (trust me on this!)

Re: I'm Really Hating My Car Right Now!!!
Correct me of I am wrong. The only thing electric about our transmissions (93 owners) are the speedo's?. I believe the 4L60E came online in '94?. High performance cars, high maintenance. As much as my car has dragged me through the mud, the more it's made me want to get it in good order.
