Can you use your stock valve covers when you install your 1.6 roller rockers with the hot cam kit?

You might have to notch or bend the inner braces of the covers, but thats about it

you just take off the cover flip it over and you will see brace in kind of a U shape. What you need to do is pinch them, it is easy and you will see exactly what needs to be done when you look at it.

We just put the rockers on my car today and the stock valve covers have enough clearance. Granted we only turned the car thru the crank, but it shouldn't matter. We didn't have to do anything to the valve covers.

Yes they will easily fit, but you have to clearance the ribs between the rockers. I just cut mine out. I run a cam with a lot more lift than the Hotcam with 1.6 RR's with stock covers, no problem here.

I welded in some braces in my 93 after I cut the baffles out. It added strength to the valve cover and made them seal better. Perhaps I can take pics of the next set I do.

Those GMPP rockers fit in with no mods needed to the covers. Other rockers out there however, do need them modded.
