Idle problem

I have a 94' Camaro Z28 with 38K on it. I put the car up in october and it has been sitting ever since. Yesterday i pulled it out and put my new stripe on it. Well i didnt realize i didnt have much gas in it so it stalled/ran out. I pushed it back in the garage and let it sit over night..today i went and bought some gas and put it in and fired it up. Now its popping and studdering and making a Ticking sound when i hit the gas. Could it be the gas? Maybe has moisture in it or sumthing. I let the car warm up and everything..still nothing. Help me out guys.

Re: Idle problem

your filter or pump may be clogged with particales at the bottom of the tank or maybe some condinsation in the tank from sitting empty so long. check/change the fuel filter. maybe check the fuel pressure. it sounds fuel related

Re: Idle problem

If you're going to store a car for any period of time, make sure it has a full tank of gas. This reduces the change of absorbing moisture in the gas. I would try adding a can of dry gas to absorb any moisture that's in the gas. Also hook up a fuel pressure gauge to the schrader valve on the fuel rail and verify you have proper fuel pressure to see if your fuel pump is working properly.

Re: Idle problem

Well the reason it didnt have any gas in is is because i really didnt plan on putting it up that soon, i just kinda parked it because i bought a second car. Kinda forgot about it not having gas in it. I bought some dry gas and a new filter tonight and ill put it in tomorrow. I figure id change it anyways since it couldnt hurt. Ill let ya guys know, thx for ur opinions...
