Cool Idea for NOS setup.......

LT1 idea....

Since the opti- spark... cannot retard timing....

MSD Ignition required

Install an Adjustable Timing Control- PN MSD-8680

Load: Use a relay to control the power input to the timing controller...
ie: batt. to relay , Normally open contacts , to timing controller , to ground.

Power: The relay coil (control circuit) will be powered through the dash switch for the NOS system... through the throttle micro switch...
ie: when NOS is armed, so is the timing controller

Control circuit: The relay's operation is through the Throttle Micro Switch...
ie: timing controller becomes operational when Throttle micro switch is depressed...

Reason: Retain 100% timing untill micro switch is depressed,
do not loose any Naturally aspirated HP from retarded timing...

Benefits: Dont have to adjust the timing controller from N/A to NOS every time you want to spray..

Just thought i would share my idea...

uhhmmm been there, done that..
you can also use the MSD timing computer, which has a single stage of retard, and just wire up the retard wires..

good idea though!
