IATs all the same?

IATs all the same?
Will a sensor from a 97 work on a 93? I was looking up the part numbers and a 93 LT1, 97 Lt1 and a even a 00 LS1 share the same part number from auto zone. I may relcoate mine with the Jet Kit, says it isnt availible for 93s just 94+ cars, cant see how it would matter if they all share the same sensor.
