go get 10 camaros stock, same year, brand new and race them, youll always gonna have one thats the fastest no matter what
Exactly. I say you have a strong runner. A freak? no. A strong runner? Yes.

btw. Mine chirped 3rd also when i was stock. I can make it chirp in 3rd at WOT and i can "not" make it chirp when WOT. It all depends how the person drives.

Yeah, the chirp factor's idiotic. Half the chirp you're hearing is probably from the engine catching back up to the rearend. Negative chirp if you ask me. That actually cause you to lose momentum. Take it to the strip a few times and see what it runs. Then you'll know a little better

BTW: Teal94ZThat ones for you! Wait....here's another

LOL! Negative Chirp! I love it! I have found the name that is perfect! I used to do it in my friends mustang all the time. He had an 89 LX with headers and exhaust, and solid mounts. You could be going about 45 in 5th, and drop it to 2nd without matching revs, and it would chirp every time! My camaro won't do that, I think it has something to do with a torque arm suspension. Boy people think a car is fast when you bark the tires on a downshift! Most people have no clue.

It could be just a strong car, or it could be that the clutch is new/holding well.

When I put my Street Twin in, with my stock engine, I can chirp any gear including 6th. It's the sudden shock of torque, which a good holding clutch will allow to happen.

"chirping" into 3rd or 4th gear in a M6, I would definitely say its the size and make of the rear tires. (when the Z is lightly modified or stock) also, take into consideration the pavement, if its smooth or rough.

why don't you guys just give the guy a break, he's happy his car chirps in third, you know what...i would be happy too, not too many camaros do that you know, something is good with his car.
if my camaro ever stoped chirping in second gear then ill be worried, ill think there is something wrong, maybe my tranny is going, i know it could be just phsycological, but thats how i am. i know how he feels.

You're dense..... Half the battle in an F-Body is traction. Do you think Billy Badass at the track wants his car to chirp second going down the strip? No he wants the tires to stay firmly planted to the ground. Thats the point... Better tires, better traction, no chirping. Less chirp does not necessarily mean that your car is "slow" it could mean that you have good grabby tires.

My car doesn't even chirp hard into 2nd, even with 3.23s, but yet nobody can dispute the fact that mine runs extremely quick for bone stock.

Ask him, his name is Alucard on here, he has a 98Z A4, Exhaust, Lid. Got him by a car to about 110. When my formula was stock, I mean bone stock, I ran a 13.7 @ 102. His best at the track is a 13.8 @ 101 I believe. It happens, it just never happens that when an LT1 beats an LS1 people believe it. He will admit it, its not like its a big deal.
