I have always thought my car FELT fast, but i was with a friend the other day and he wanted to me to get on it. We went from a stop and there was no traction in 1st, it chirped HARD going into second and then chirped pretty hard (at about 65mph) into 3rd . I was suprised to say the least.

 

and your point is?
chirping tires doesnt mean anything?
My truck can chirp 3rd too

 

oh sorry. I forgot to put in the question. Do all you guys chirp into 3rd at WOT. I just wasnt expecting it.

 

it depends on the tires you have...what kind do you have and how much tread is left?

 

i have goodyears with lots of meat on them

 

if you have a factory freak then mine was an animal i got 4th gear when mine was bone stock. I think it had to do with the brand new clutch it had at the time.

 

isnt 4th on a M6 the same as 3rd 1:1 on a A4?

 

just wondering before i order my new pump. can the pcm change the fuel pressure? my mechanic was like i couldn't believe its that low and still runs so strong. He also said thats prolly why it takes a few cranks to turn over so should i just order my new pump?

 

never mind the tires...i think you got yourself a good one, some are just faster than others, go get 10 camaros stock, same year, brand new and race them, youll always gonna have one thats the fastest no matter what, they are never identical, so be happy, your trany and motor run strong....mine always chirps in second gear, with brand new good years, but not in third...ive beaten some lt1's that are slightly moded. so who knows mine could be a good one also hopefully.

My old 91 RS with the 5 liter throttle body injection could chirp third, and I was the only one that could get it to do that. It's all about the driver!

I was just saying that i was suprised that mine did that. My friend way back had a 93 z m6 and he couldnt chirp into 3rd so i was just trying to get some input.

 

some have more power than others. thats the cae with any massed produced vehicle. as far as being a freak. no its just in good shape obviously. so take care of it and dont rag it out. Trey
