Hi I been having a hard time with the key pass system also know as vats I have repalced all parts in the system and except the key lock cylinder(were you put your key). Well I need help on how to replace the key lock cylinder. If I can't well if anyone is interested the car will be for sale mods are below and I just got more and will add to the sig later.

 

I just turned off vats with Tunercat tuning software.....you can get the software and cable for less than $200.....thats for OBD1 cars.

 

I WAS SUPOSSED TO HAVE IT programed OUT BUT some NICE person did not do it a pcmforless, I know I clicked on it to have it programed out got it to day and nothing I AM ABOUT TO F^&% POP GOD @#$$ I AM TIRED OF BEING RAPED BY COMPANYS!!!! I HAVE TO LEAVE IN A COUPLE DAY AND I GET SCREWED. Anger management just went out the window.

 

what exactly are the symptoms??

REPLACE the Cylinder, I had to on mine, but its a dealer part and you must have the vin when you go there, it has something to do with the value on the key??????

the keys from the dealer are like $20 a piece

do i get any $ for coming up with the right answer?

 

it could also be u got a bad key, its cause the little chip in them like to take a **** sometimes and first they dont start sometimes, and do. try to get a new key for it, if it doesnt work, then i guess u gotta change out the key cylinder, but its kinda tricky, and i belive u gotta reprogram it or something like that. so also ask the people at the cylinder if u have to reprogram it or not. that would be my best recomendations. lates
