I made the mistake of not buying 02 extensions

Back when i did the engine i hacked into the wiring and did it myself. I bought the extensions but they sent me ones for an ls1. I got pissed and did it myself. Now my car has all kinds of problems and I'm going back and fixing all of them one by one. My 02's read all over the place and this could be the reason.

When i added wire i used butt connectors and i made sure i got the wires tight. BUT, i didn't soldier them because back then i didn't know how.

Where should i go from here to do them right?

As long as you spliced into the engine harness side and not the o2 sensor side your good. I did this years ago and have never had a problem. If the o2's are working properly they are supposed to read all over the place.

I purchased mine from the WS6store.com they had good prices and quick shipping. I also did the same thing as you the first time around and spliced my wires. They seemed to work OK but a few years later I had some O2 issues and purchased the correct extentions to rule out the spliced ones as a problem.

Tell us exactly what you mean by "My 02's read all over the place". As noted above, they are supposed to move around in closed loop. They should be swinging rapidly back and forth over a range of 0xx - 9xx mV's.

Left o2 stays around 580 right o2 is jumps up and down more than the left and is usually about 150 mv above the left. My car starts bogging and missing when it goes into closed loop. Because of this i've been driving with the o2's unplugged and the car has been running ok. I'm going back now and trying to fix all of the problems that were adding up. I think this could be one of my multiple issues.

Just cut out the crimps and solder in wire. If you don't solder and heatshrink you're wasting your time. Also use electrical tape and some 3/8" split loom, so it's neat, contained, and somewhat sealed up.

If you're really worried about your 02's, buy a pair or new ones.
I've had luck brake cleaning thick black soot off my o2 sensors which caused them to stop reacting, not recommended but it might revive ones that have stopped cycling.
