I have a problem

hey guys,

I have a '95 Z-28 A4 and the other night i was driving home and the low coolant light came on. so i got home went to bed and checked the next morning. there was a little spot on the ground of antifreeze so i figured id ask on the board, then i went back out 20 mins later and the whole thing pretty much dumped on the ground. the thing is, i'll add water and it drips out like crazy if the car is off, but if the car is running it barely drips at all...i would think it would drip more with the car running. the leak drips down the main pulley down at the bottom of the engine like right in the middle of the car (i dont know exactly what to call it so i thought id give u the location of the pulley). im rather stumped. my father and i think that it may be the water pump since it dus not seem like any of the hoses are the problem. my father and i could have fixed a hose, but we're at a loss if its the water pump or something like that. im really at a loss here and need some help guys. wtf is wrong w/ my car? oh, and if it is the water pump, what should i use and what else should i do while im at it???

thanx in adavnce,
jake

ok it could be a few things..... one you could have a bad seal for your thermostat
2) your hose to your Throttle body that runs coolant through it could be all F-ed up.
3) ok i imagine when your engine dumps out the coolant you start to overheat, well mine did the same thing. it also looks lik it is coming out of the pulley area too, when infact it is overflowin out of the resavoir and when it hits the pulley it flings every where making it look like it came fromt he pulley. SOLUTION: your relays o your fans are bad. The fuse relays are under your hood, on the driver side in a black box near your air intake system. Now go buy the new coolant relays, i think there are 3. And there ya go

Water pump is shot.Climb under the car and you will see it leaking from the weep hole.Fix it before it kills your opti.

The opti is right below it,where your plug wires go.Its not that hard to change.
