MY car is making a loud popping sound. Like cherry bombs would make then once the popping is gone my performance kicks in. I got on the pedal pretty good and its like its missing when its making that really loud popping sound like its missing. But when It stops my performance kicks in. ANY mods above I should get rid of or add to. Another member thinks it's MY MAF sensor. I'm checking into that. But anyone have a similar problem. Before I had the hot cam and headers and cat off I had the loudmouth and once in a while it would make that popping sound. But now ever since the headers, cam, cat - tooken off - My car makes that popping sound really bad. Unless I drive it at 3k or above. Could I have damaged a piston. Because It's running bad now.

 

try puttin the cat convert. back on...maybe there isnt enough backpressure causing all the **POPPING**

Check Plugs,wires, coil, OPTI?

 

I hate to put the cat back on. What about a muffler like flowmaster. The loudmouth is just a hollow piece of pipe. I know thats the problem not enough backpressure.

 

yup my LM made a popping noise every once in a while.....especialy if i hit on it and let off the gass right after start up even when its warm....put ur cat on it should reduce this a little

 

Get rid of the granatelli; I had one and there P.O.S.
