You should invest in some control arms, relocation brackets and some better tires. That will solve most of your problems. I would recommend also investing in some subframe connectors but that's not going to solve your problem but does strengthen your chassis.

poly/rubber is better suited for the street. it is a bit more forgiving than the poly/poly. the rubber bushing they use is still stiffer than the stock bushings so it is an improvement. i had good results when i installed my BMR rubber/poly LCA's.

i also had good results from changing to a poly torque arm mount. they are about $15 and are well worth it unless you can afford a complete torque arm. and i had no increase in interior noise being transmitted throught he shifter like some guys claim.

hope this helps

Pretty much anything is an improvement over stock. The stock control arms are pressed metal and can flex quite a bit which is why you get a lot of wheel hop. With relocation brackets you have a choice or bolt-in or weld-in. For a pretty much stock car bolt-ins will be fine. I have weld-in BMR ones on my own car.

Which one is better, boxed or tubular controll arm. Do they affect ground clearance any?

No effect on ground clearance. Boxed is the stronger of the two but tubular is plenty strong already. I run boxed myself.

I actually cured my wheelhop by installing an airbag in the passenger side rear and adding 22 pounds of air.

Do you mean you added air shocks? Or like an "air Bag" as in for safety?

Air bag in the passenger rear coil spring.
Not sure how to explain what it does but it helps the car hook up and stop wheel hop.
