Re: Hydro carbons too high.

What are the pass/fail limits and actual measured for unburned HC, carbon monoxide (CO) and oxides of nitrogen (NOx)?

How does the fuel system add the extra fuel on boost?

1.1 to pass. 1st test the car was 3.6. Then we tuned it again with new plugs and coil. It dropped to 1.7. Last test with 24lb Injectors and the stock ECU back in the car it went 1 5. It passed all other tests.

Re: Hydro carbons too high.

You have to get the cat real hot right before the test!

I understand it passed CO and NOx, but sometimes you can tell from how close those are to the limit, what is causing the problem.

Re: Hydro carbons too high.

It was well under for the CO2 and NOX. The car is driven 20 minutes on the highway to get the cat hot. The cat is new, stock cam. It had a ECU that was prepped by the previous owner. We installed the original ECU and stock injectors.

Re: Hydro carbons too high.

Low CO and NOx can point to raw fuel. Since you replaced the injectors, check the fuel pressure and for a leaking fuel pressure regulator.

Do you have an FMU, is this a 2-bar tune..... again, how do you add the extra fuel for boost?

Re: Hydro carbons too high.

CO number 4.3829 limit is 15.000. NOX is 1.125 LIMIT IS 3.00.Fuel delivery is apart of the procharger. It is apart of the kit.

Re: Hydro carbons too high.

This sounds like it needs to be moved to the "Forced Induction" forum. They will have a better idea of what's included in the typical ProCharger kit.
