Hub-balancer question?

Hub-balancer question?

Can i use the stock hub and balancer for my stroker or do i need to get a keyed aftermarket one?

The stock LT1 crank has the keyway, it's the damper hub that doesn't.

Sorry about the high jack but I have always wondered why there isn't a key way in the hub?

GM wanted to save a nickel on each engine.

And since it's a damper and not a balancer, alignment isn't critical.
