I do, makes it a hell of a lot easier... I dont' have AC and its a stick so that helps with the removal.

I changed my opti in my driveway and i didnt take out the radiator. You definately need to take out the fan shroud though (sp?). That frees up enough room to work. Drain all of your coolant out too. I think that SHOEBOX has a "how to" change your opti on his tech page. Hope this helps and good luck changing the opti. Remember to line it up CORRECTLY!! i didnt the first time and had to rip everything back off to fix it!!! Later

I had to pull one of the elecric fans off because the puller i used to take off the balancer wouldn't fit otherwise.

there's no need to take off the radiator.. that's over complicating it....

I never took the radiator out... the Fans have to come out because of the puller for the hub, but other than that it's an easy job, took me just over 2 hours from start to finish and that was doing it twice because I didn't get it on right the first time.

I don't have an opti change out page but there is one here.

I did not remove the radiator and had plenty of room. I did take the fans out, but you could even do it with them in.

Leave the rad in but just unhook two of the tabs on the fan wiring harness (that holds the harness to the housing) and then drop the entire fan/housing down and out. I can do this without any tools, although a small flat blade screw driver helps pop the wiring harness retaining tabs loose without damaging them!
