How would this setup run?

First off, I want a 355. I want it to be rebuilt after this summer to one. Would the car produce good numbers with this 355 rebuild done? I will be using the CC306 cam w/ 1.6 RR's. 3.73's. 3200 or 3600 stall. I plan on ported/polished heads, but don't know where to look just yet.

Would this setup work well? Any idea how much power I would be making? I will occassionally use a 100 shot as well...will that work fine? Hope someone can help me out.

Really? What kinda parts did you use? Do you happen to have a parts list of everything you had to buy?

i had my block bored and bought a used longblock with ported heads, .030 pistons, and eagle rods. Then had the machine shop redo the heads, and check out all the other parts. bought a gasket kit, bearings, and all the other engine parts like injectors, fuel pressure regulator, that stuff. Just keep your eye out for a good deal...post in the wanted section that you want a used shortblock...then just rebuild that, thats what i did

I am interested in building a 355 myself. Do you have any times or anything yet with your new setup will?

Well, I originally planned to just have the engine in my car now to be rebuilt. I know I want forged internals, b/c I plan to spray a 100 shot on the car and I want this engine to last as long as it can. I dunno, I hope I can figure something out.

Check out advanced induction heads site. They have two 355's making 420+rwhp. One makes 20 horse or so more. Torque is around 390ish. But lately they are the ones who are selling heads. They out flow L.E. heads and have their own matching cams. If you go with a cc306 it is going to be good with the nitrous but not incredible like it would be with a xe224/236 on 114lsa. You don't need forged rods if you never hit more than a 200 shot. You only said you would be hitting a 100 shot but your likely to move up and keep doing so. So if your building a motor build it strong, to handle more power than your planning. you can grab some eagle rods for 300. Look around more and ask others about their combo's. Good luck

Hey, I appreciate that man.

About the nitrous, nah, I really only plan to run a 100 shot MAX. This engine has to last me a while, and I'm gonna be taking this car on the safe side. I know the engine should be able to work fine w/o forged internals if I am only doing a 100 shot, but I want this to be a strong build like you said. Would it be cheaper to buy my rods, pistons, etc. one at a time, or to buy a complete rotating assembly package? All I know is I want STRONG parts.
