I am about to install mid length rk sport headers and from what I have been told it is possible to route the wires the same way they are stock.

What plug wires are you going to be using?

Just some 8mm, probably MSD's or something. I don't have the headers yet though.

stock routing. works. on cylinder 5 put the boot towards the front of the vehicle and tuck in the wire. on the rest just check them with your hand. follow each of the wires and if it comes close, tuck it. if you go in the stock routing the wire won't be hanging, or will be hanging minimally. using heat shields on some of the boots helps, i had them, but really didn't need them, just had them for piece of mind.

Stock routing will work... orrrrr.. you could do OVC wires, much less of a chance to burn if you route one wrong

I've got the mac mid length and went with the factory mounting. I used a heat sleave on the #5 plug with a METAL tie to hold it on. Not for sure on the company but they make heat resistant covering and metal "tie straps" that work damn good. You need to pull the p/s pump out of the way, saves alot of anger trying to fight getting them behind it. I'm using Taylor 8mm's and they dont fit in the little "wire guide" thats attached to the a/c,alt. and p/s bracket but with some wire ties it works out.
