How much is too much resistence in plug wires?
How much is too much resistence in plug wires?
I used my multimeter on my MSD and Taylor wires. I saw a huge differnce between the two. All 8 MSDs have between 35 to 45 ohms resistence when the Taylors are all between .9 and 1.1 ohms.
I went a little deeper and took apart the MSDs and noticed all of them had rips in the wires(underneith the rubber coating). This is caused by bending the wires 90 degrees. once that happend the wire snaps inside. They are very rigid and unflexable wires which makes them very fragile. The Taylors can be easily bent with out the wire spliting inside. I say stay away from using MSD wires and if one is using them check them for resistence.
