How much compression on pump gas?
What static compression you can get away with will depend entirely on the combination of parts you're going to run & how you're going to run them. A search in adv. tech on dynamic compression ratio can help explain that a bit...
That said, I think being safe & staying around 11-11.25:1 isn't a bad idea for most setups that are going to be daily driven on pump gas. About the most I've had customers run with an average HR camshaft (~230deg int duration) has been just under 12:1 & they haven't reported any issues thus far, but I'd always prefer to be safe as opposed to sorry when depending on pump fuel.
