Question Need info on LT1 heads

I need to get some new heads for the Z28. I was looking ot get used ones through ebay (or a friend might be able to sell them to me). What year heads will work on a 1993 besides a 1993 head?
Does it matter if it is Trans Am or Vette head?

Also, I'm looking to port/polish/three angle valve job them, how big should I go with the valves? I was thinking 1.94 intake and 1.50 exhaust.

Any Aluminum LT1 head will work. The stock valve sizes are 1.94 and 1.50. You should port them and go w/ 2.00 intake and 1.56 exhaust valves.

FWIW, the pre-96 castings seem to have a bit more material in them on average, but even the later ones can be made to work well & for most it isn't a concern .

Most of the time we'll go ahead and go to a 2.00/1.56" set of valves over the 1.94/1.50 stock sizes .
