How many miles are on your LT1 ?
Re: How many miles are on your LT1 ?
I drove my car hard up to 110,000 miles from the 28,000 it had when I got it in 2000. I went through a few trannys and 2 optis and a water pump. Changed the valve seals at 100,000 miles as it would blow a little blue smoke on startup. Now with the S/C it has so much torque with the 9 lb pulley I don't beat on it so much and after 10,000 S/C miles it has no blowby even at 5 or 6 psi which is what I practically see in the mid rpms.
Re: How many miles are on your LT1 ?
156k on mine never been rebuilt No NOS ever
water pump went out around 80k (extended warrenty covered it)
still original opti
got the stealership to put on a aluminium drive shaft under warrenty
had some isues with the stock rear end wanting to break teath off every 6 months but Moser 12 bolt and BMR adjustable control arms, adjustable torque arm and panhard rod fixed all that. (and a good rear end shop to fix the moser isues)
oil change every 3k and keeping up with general matanance the car and engine has been very reliable. its my only car so its a daily driver.
but just like any car if you dont take care of it and run the hell out of it, it will break eventualy.

just like everyone else... new opti, plugs wires, coolent temp sensor, outter tie-rod ends, rear driveshaft seal, 173,xxx but still running strong...
Thats a hell of a deal on that car if you ask me, but like everyone else said make sure you have it checked out by someone certified, or that knows what their doing so you dont screw yourself into a lemon....not that GM ever made any lemons...
right?!? haha good luck with the buy!
