How long will an Lt1 last??? provided that the oil is changed every 3k-5k miles... everything is serviced and maintained regularly....
how long will a stock lt1 hold up vs. a modded lt1??

thats kind of a loaded question. well maintained,it could last hundreds of thousands of miles,as will any car.
modde cars tend to not last as long mainly becuase they are modified for a reason, and therefore subjected to more extreme conditions.

The mods it has don't have that much of an effect unless you're running a crazy stroker or forced induction or nitrous setup.
What's more important is how you drive the car.
You drive it like you drive a normal family car, do normal maintenance, and you will be able to enjoy it for a very long time.
Race the **** out of it and you could kill it in a couple of years.
Its as reliable as any other small block RWD V8 car.

My 95 was still going strong when I sold it with 95K. Of course, it did break the timing chain at about 85K and bent a couple of valves, but it also had a mild cam(6200 rev limit) and was abused a lot with lots of drag racing, autox and road course use. As a matter of fact, the timing chain broke at the roadcourse.
List of major repairs:
30K: water pump (dealer also replaced opti as a preventative measure)
80K: clutch
85K: timing chain and two valves

Mine has 88k on it, and here is how it has went as far as replacements.
51k fuel pump (replaced by dealership under warranty)
70k water pump (replaced by dealership under warranty)
82k opti (for the hell of it and to save future costs, b/c I was putting in the CC306)
Thats it, and basic tuneups. This car has heads, cam, stall, LT's, 12bolt, and other goodies. Still pulls like crazy! I have a small leak at the bottom of the timing chain cover, but the way I see it, it ain't a real 350 if it ain't gotta leak
lol j/k
I think a stock one would last a very long time w/ proper maintenance.
