how hard is it to wire water temp and oil press. guages on the a pillar
well your car already has those so why would you do that?...
anyways, i dont think you can just tape into the sensor wires for the current ones, something to do with voltage!!!

For the water temp, you need to add the sensor also. You can't just splice into one of the two existing sensors. One available spot is the plugged hole on the passenger side head that corresponds to the simlar hole, used for the stock water temp sensor on the driver's side head. Hard to get at (between #6 and #8), depending on the exhaust system you have. I added an extra coolant temp sensor by splicing a 1/8" NPT "tee" into the rubber portion of the line from the back of the heads.
Once you have the sensor in, its a single wire to each of the gauges, a good ground for each gauge to complete the electronic circuit, and a +12V source for the light in each gauge, and another ground for each light. Find a good metal grounded screw under the dash, and run a single, heavy gauge ground wire to the a-pillar, and connect the 4 grounds form the gauges to it. You can get +12V from the headlight switch if you want a constant light level, only when the lights are on, or connect it to the output of the dimmer rheostat if you want the gauge lights to dim with the dash lights. My Formula doesn't have fog lights, so there was an extra connector hanging off the headlight switch that I was able to plug into.

I have a mechanical oil pressure gauge in one of the center A/C vents, connected to the same port on the block. Running the braided S/S hose into the middle of the Formula dash wasn't real easy.....
I don't have a coolant temp gauge, but I have electronic oil temp and trans temp gauges in the A-pillar, and they are hooked up pretty much the way I described. A little dog work, but not too bad.
