How hard is it going to be to do a MAC header install?

It looks like I am finally going to order some Jet-Hot coated MAC's for the Formy

How hard are they to install, and what should I expect?. I have limited mechanical abilities, but I change my own oil, brakes and basic stuff like that.

I read through Jordan Musser's install guide....is it a good write-up, and do you have any more tips?

Its not an easy install but if you have the right tools and know what you are doing(I assume you do since you have read the write-up) it will go a lot smoother than if you think you know and just jump in like I did. Make things a lot easier on yourself when installing the new headers and just jack the motor up to begin with. I wrestled with mine for a while before I gave in a jacked it up and after that, it was a good bit easier. Give yourself plently of time and dont rush things, its a big enough battle by itself without you having to worry about the clock too. Good luck with everything.

It's not that bad at all. You sound like me before I did my install. I was pretty good at changing my oil, doing my brakes, etc before I attempted this. It took me a total of 3 days to do the install. Here's the best advice I can give you.......TAKE YOUR TIME. The first day I focused on removing the old exhaust system (from the manifolds back). The second day I installed both headers. The last day I hooked up the rest of the exhaust and put everything away. I had mangled hands afterward but overall it was a very satisfying experience. I've had my MAC headers on for over 3.5 years now and they still look good. Good luck to you, and don't forget......TAKE YOUR TIME.
