mine vibrated like crazy after i did the poly tranny mount.
i rotated the DS 180 degrees, and the vibration is barely noticeable.

The plate that u speak of is called a "preload" plate..I THINK your supposed to use that. I took mine out and it helped a little bit..Some guys took the mount to a "wheel" grinder and took off the little bumps off the backside of the mount..they say it helped a little also..

i think i remember reading that they quit making the original tranny mounts (because of poor quality) and started substiting the 1LE for the stocker?

I was told that they no longer make the 1LE mount. I have been using a mount from a 2002 LS1 Z28. It had a lot more metal in it. I have probably put around 20 hard shifts in it and it still is holding fine. Drives just like stock too. i think it cost about $60 at my local dealer though.

Thanks
Shawn

Is that a rubber mount also?? Is the only difference from that and the stock LT1 mount, is there's more metal? I wonder why they(LS1 mounts) dont break like the LT1's do?
