how do you make your own manual fan control switch?

how do you make your own manual fan control switch?

i was highly considering buying the SLP switch but i think that in the end i would just be paying for name (brand). ive heard of a couple of you guys making your own switch, and i think thats the route im gonna take...how do you do it and what will i need? thanx in advance

its really simple, i believe shoebox has a mod page for, if i rember right you just run one wire to a hot all the time source...then to a switch....then the other wire coming of the switch to the large )green??) wire coming out off the middle of the fan2 relay in the fuse box...couldnt be easier

That fan switch write-up page is not mine. It is a convenient place where most of the info is located, though.
