Steering dead-on center?

Ok, my steering wheel is not on-center when I'm driving straight - it's close, but not dead on. The car doesn't pull or anything, and it just had a wheel alignment. Is this normal for these cars?

No, it's not...

Since you just had the alignment done, I would take it back to have the steering wheel adjusted - there shouldn't be any problem with your shop doing this, as it's part of the job (since the wheel wasn't 'crocked' when you drove in there, right?).

Good Luck,

Good Luck,
Agree. The shop should have centered the wheel. That is a normal part of an alignment.

Assuming they didn't remove and replace the steering wheel, and didn't change or rotate tires along with the alignment, they need to adjust the tie rods to center the wheel. Make sure the toe is still to spec. Ask for the computer printout of all the alignment data.

IMO, that's sloppy workmanship on the part of the alignment person.

Thumbs up

Thanks guys,

I'm gonna call them first thing on Monday and have them fix it. They did rotate the tires - even though I asked them NOT to! What the hell am I gonna do with my Nittos in the front??? Haha. I was gonna rotate them back myself, but I'll just have them do it since they f'ed up the alignment in the first place.
