How to disconnect this battery? PICS!

Make sure you don't overtighten it when you put it back in or you'll strip the threads. They're made of lead. I stripped mine relatively easily and went to top post connectors.

I never knew that. Wondered why those seem to be the only bolts that tend to round off the most.

Because of the reasons already mentioned, it is the safest way to do it. Any manual worth it's salt will tell you to remove the negative cable.

The only place you could accidentally complete a circuit and fry yourself is on the positive terminal, if you were to touch the A/C line by accident...however GM smartly placed rubber on it to insulate it from happening.

HAHAH no sh*t huh thats what i was thinking! i mean come on if you cant even tell how to get the battey unhooked im sorry not trying to be a **** but seriously this is almost as bad as asking "HOW TO REMOVE MY WHEELS" its like uhhh hello the answer is right in front of you
