How to delete EVAP system without SES light
How to delete EVAP system without SES light
I live where emissions are not tested, and I have already gotten rid of everything but the EVAP system. I think mine is going bad anyway, because I get a fuel smell when I'm idling, and its coming from my pass. fender. Anyway, If I delete the EVAP system, how do I keep from setting a SES light on my '95 OBDI? Can I just put a resistor somewhere? Also, what to do with the hose coming from the gas tank?
Good question Rob
.
If it smells bad now, and you think the EEC canister system is not working, what do you think it will smell like without the system?
I still have the EEC system on my 800HP nitrous stroker... when it wasn't working, I had tears in my eyes from the fumes from the C16......... Got the system working again, and all the stink went away.

I know there's people that have done this before. I'm not sure about how to vent the tank after removing the charcoal canister, but I was thinking maybe a vented gas cap, or else I'd figure something out. I just want less clutter in the car and the engine bay, and the fuel smell doesn't bother me. I'm used to 60s cars and they always smell like fuel.
