How can i get my headers to stop leaking?

I have a set of MAC mid lengths on my 94 Z. They have been on there for about 2 months. Well the car has always made kind of a clicking noise. but i just assumed that it was the 1.6 roller rockers since they have a reputation for being loud. well i was looking around under my hood the other day and noticed that 4 of my header bolts were compltely gone. Otheres were loose. This was what was causing a lot of the ticking. Well i replaced the bolts and the gaskets. and it still leaking from a primary on the drivers side. I have tightend and re-tightend the bolts but it still leaks. I am using the perforated metal looking gaskets now. Is there anything that will seal better?

Thanks
Shawn

Headers are always a hit and miss, some fit perfect with no leaks, others well... Your header flange may not be true. As mentioned before, try Mr. Gaskets copper gaskets, but if your flange is bent, that will not help you. A organic type gasket may form to a bend?

Try using a good-quality header bolt (ARP, Stage 8) and Percy's dead-soft aluminum gaskets. They are reuseable, and blowout-proof.

I use fel pro gaskets, and smear a thin layer of orange high temp RTV on each side. No leaks here

be sure you are doing the tightening sequence the right way. Inside out. Start from the middle then torque outwards.

I used the Summit Brand soft copper D-port gaskets, and I have had absolutely no leaks. They are a little cheaper too.
