There is a coolant supply hose and a coolant return hose connected to the base plate on the throttle body. Pull the hoses off the baseplate, connect them to each other, using a 3/8" barbed hose connector (any good hardware store) and a couple of clamps. Be careful not to drip any coolant on the OptiSpark distributor while doing this. Be sure to correctly bleed the air out of the cooling system after completing the mod. You will pick up approx. 6HP

Is there any risk of damage?

No. In theory, the warm coolant is there to keep the throttle body blades from "icing" in extreme cold. I haven't ever heard of anyone having that problem.... maybe its for people who live north of the Arctic Circle.

oh man, exact same conversation going on in LS1 tech, EXACT same. And you do have a cam, just not a high performance one
