Thanks. What RPM is that? That sounds a LOT smoother than the HC cars i have on my desktop. The smoothest one i have is tuned and idleing at 850rpm and it's still kinda choppy. I think it's 97Bowtie on here that has a 305 w/ a 112 LSA and it sounds almost exactly like the HC cars. I didn't think 2* of LSA would make that much of a difference. The CC305 is looking VERY good now...

Well the C305 is pretty good, with some tweaking to the specs it can be a awesome cam for a stock headed car.

We have a tweaked version of it, that will put down some serious RWHP numbers. It will need springs and pushrods to go with it and I would advise the Comp R lifters too.

Bret
I disagree Bret,
I was doing a search for soemthing else and stumbled across this thread.

Comp R lifters are overkill on a cam like this. As are new pushrods. MANY people are running much more radical cams (steeper lobes, more lift, stiffer springs) with stock lifters and stock pushrods.

I ran my Xe 230/236 upto 6500rpms with no signs of problems whatseover. Tons are running the CC 306 (which is more or less the same cam with more exhuast lift) on stock lifters and pushrods.

This is poorly spent money.

But hey what do I know

I'd say that the XE grinds are superior to both in a stock headed motor. JMHO
