Good god man, this post is old!! I never updated this post after I made it, so here goes.

I did the portwork on the heads, had the larger Manley valves installed along with a 3 angle valve job and milled the heads .020". HOTcam and upgraded springs went in(springs that later broke). I used a stock replacement LT1 timing chain since I wasn't stressing it with the factory cam driven waterpump, I've got an electric one. Comparing before and after runs both on drag radials I picked up .82 in the 1/8th alone, with a best of 8.1. My MPH went up from a best of 81.6 to 86.9. These runs were made at a local 1/8 track that has a reputation for being the s***tiest in the area, and my times at the 1/4 mile track in Bowling Green have been a solid .3 faster in their 1/8 than at the s***ty one. I was hoping to get the car up to the said 1/4 mile track and see a 7.8-7.9 pass in the 1/8, on the way to a 12.5, but it never happened. The radiator clogged about 5 or 6 months after the heads/cam went on, overheated the motor and it finally popped a headgasket again. I currently have the heads off the motor, and I guess I'll get the heads checked, put some new gaskets on and try it again.

I ran a 7.86@88 w/ the Hot Cam kit, LT's, 2800 Vigi, 3.73's, K&N, etc. w/ ET Streets. I had a 1.6 60' time as well. That was the first run!

I now have the CC306 w/ heads, etc.

The HOT cam was nice, I respect it! It never gets the attention is deserves!

A good choice

That's pretty interesting, my first run that I made was my best. It actually went 8.45 on the stock tune, then I went back the next week with my new mailorder tune. First pass was 8.1 and I haven't been able to top it yet
