hot cam dowel

hot cam dowel

I am in the middle of a cam swap.
I noticed that the stock cam's dowel is smaller than the hot cam's.
Is there a way to switch the two, if so how do I accomplish this?

Either cut it to the same lenght or tap it in with a hammer
