horn

my horn buttons are gone for some reason i dont know why. I bought it like that. i want to put the buttons on and i was wondering how do i take the cover off the steering wheel and if i did will the air bag pop out on me?

i don't think you CAN "remove" the cover of the airbag in the wheel... whats keeping you from just buying the buttons and putting them on?

It's very easy to remove the cover/airbag module. Yes, the airbag could deploy if you don't do the following: 1) disconnect the battery 2) make sure the steering wheel is straight and in the locked position 3) remove the air bag fuse 4) unplug the yellow CPA connector under the right side of the instrument panel.

After that there are four screws in the back of the steering wheel. Then remove the airbag module and disconnect the electrical connector. Then you've got it disconnected! Hope this helps!
