Hookers any good???

Well,
I've been asking many questions about headers lately but here's another one.
I've been looking at MACS, Hookers, RKSport, AS&M and SLP shorty headers. Price is kind of an issue being from Canada and all but I also want them ceramic coated.
Chris from Jet-Hot quoted me $520 shipped to my door for Hooker 1 5/8" shorties with y-pipe all of which are ceramic coated with their sterling finish.
Is this a good price and are these headers any good?
I want to run an off-road pipe as well, does anyone have or make one that will fit between the Hookers and a Borla cat-back?
Besides o2sims, what other parts are needed for a complete installation on a 97 WS6? The Borla system was designed for 94-95 single cat cars and so are the hookers.
Does anyone know of any web-sites with detailed pics of this sort of install?
Thanks for the help,
Tyler

If your looking at shorties/midlenghts, I'd go with MAC or AS&M.

RKSport I wouldn't do business with, SLP plug access sucks.

I have that exact set, not installed yet so there's not much info that I can give. I've searched this site for Hooker shorty opinions but they are few and far between, so i'm not sure of the general board consensus on these.

Something I'd like to know is this: Those of you that are running these headers, what gasket did you use and do you have any pics of the connection from the ypipe to the cat/off-road pipe? It's a pretty odd flange that they give you and i'm wondering how the heck you "oval" your cat or pipe to fit it??? I used to manage a muffler shop and i'm stumped on this one.

I think they are as good as any 1 5/8" shorties. They have a "ball and flare" collector that seals very well and I have had no problems with leaks. My only problem was the fit of the y pipe was bad and it had to be modified.
I used Earl's gaskets on mine. They appear to use the same flange as the Hooker longtubes, so any gaskets that people are using with those should work fine.
At the muffler shop they ovaled the inlet of the cat to fit the flange and welded it up. It only took a few minutes.
