hooker LT clearance issue, need some help

well after finicking with my Y-pipe so it doesnt bang, i am noticing that the passenger side header is extremely close to the lower front suspension if u kno where im talking about. Its right before the collector. anyway, its not touching but i would imagine with my engine moving around it is bangin but its intermittent. Anyone have a similar issue and/or have a solution to it?

Re: hooker LT clearance issue, need some help

well should i be happy or mad that u have the same issue heh. anyway, anyone have a good solution i can do myself. My sometimes crazy mind says to stick something non flamable there so it wont do it but I'm open to other suggestions. the place i have my exhaust work done at says he could heat it up and squish the pipe a bit but said it would weaken the metal...I can see that being a problem later on.

What you need here is a BFH Big Freakin Hammer. bang the pipe or whatever is close to it, whichevers least important i guess

My LT headers were REALLY close to the k-member on the passenger side, replacing the motor mount fixed my problem.

Re: hooker LT clearance issue, need some help

I just ordered a set of polyurtherine <SP?> bushing for the motor mounts and trans mount from thunderracing and we will see if that helps so I will let you guys know in a few days when i get them put in. If that doesn't fix the problem I'll get a big *** wrench and fix it.
