Hooker Long Tubes - Should I go smog delete?
Really wondering before I order these this week if I should go smog delete.
Experts, what do you think? I have no problem removing the air pump, anything special needed to do that? Will it throw engine codes?
Let me know, I'd hate to have those smog fittings on the primaries if it is easy to simply disconnect/remove the air pump. Thanks guys.

Re: Hooker Long Tubes - Should I go smog delete?
Unless you have smog inspections I would get rid of it.
It may throw codes, although a lot of them can go bad and won't turn on the ses light. Of course if you're getting headers you might as well get a tune and get rid of the smog stuff with it.
Taking out the air pump connections should be fairly straightforward, will unclutter your engine bay, and will lose you a few lbs of weight. Since you're doing headers it will probably be just as easy to remove the stuff as it would be to re-install it on the headers. Just having those extra lines and fittings attached to some headers doesn't look right.
