Hey guys, I was just wondering of they make emissions compatible hooker LTs and if they do, how hard are they to install and do they stick out the bottom of the car?

 

Do a search and you will find more information than you could ever read on this topic. The heart of the matter is that Hooker LT's move the cat, that makes them emissions illegal. It really depends on how strict your emissions testing is. Hooker's also don't have AIR and EGR fittings on them. Pacesetter and Jethot LT's have the emission fitting but still move the cat. They do hang down pretty low. If you have a lowered car i think you would encounter problems. It took me 10hrs to install my headers. That includes a trip to the parts house and a drive across town to weld up the y pipe.

 

You can get Jet-Hots with emmisions fittings. Jet-Hot LTs are Hookers but slightly improved upon. The headers tuck up very well also.

 

yes they make emissions legal Hooker long tubes with AIR and EGR! they have them at www.ls1speed.com or summit!

 

Sweet, Speed inc (ls1speed.com) is actally a few blocks away from my house, ill have to go on down there and take a look at them

 

I maybe wrong but i don't think so. They may have LT hooker headers with emissions fittings but you will still run into the problem that they move the location of the Cat.
