I doubt you will see any gain performance wise. I had one and then took it off. I didnt notice a difference. IMHO The only reason to get one would be to run a wet kit because then the fuel will not pool in your TB.

An airfoil is not going to give you a SOP change in HP like headers or a cam. WS6.com showed about a 3 HP gain from it so why not go for it. It's for sure not going to hurt your car. As for what brand is best... Holly, slp, they are all the same. Watch on Ebay and get one used pretty cheap. Good luck!

Later,

Mike

I dont think theyve ever been officially proven. This weekend on HP TV they installed one on a Imapala SS and gained no power at all. Don't they cost about $50? If so I'd either try to get one used or spend that $50 towards something else that is actually proven to give power.

I saw that on HorsePower TV also. Yes, there was no gain in the air foil oh well, its something to add to your mod list, and anybody who doesnt know what it is you can tell them its like 25 hp

I ordered one which should arrive any time soon. Got it for $25. I knew it wouldn't add anything dramatic hp wise, but I've heard it gives a lot better throttle response once added, and that is the main reason I purchased one.

Save your $50.00. Thats a set of Impy head gaskets that will pick you up a 1/2 point of compression! Or it's a set of ARP rod bolts. Or a set of MSD plug wires. You see where I'm going with this. Save your dough for stuff you'll actually need.

That is exactly what I found as well. Got mine from SLP for $30.

If anyone is gong to do this I reccommend getting the top plate gasket as well. Once you remove the tb top plate to do the install, you will see how stretched out it is, hard to get it to line up w/ top plate screws. Besides if it rips you're screwed anyhow. Worth the $5 extra for the gasket kit, just my $.02
