hole in Y-pipe

A bolt on the bottom of the floor plan has punctured a hole in my Y-pipe about 6 inches from the end of the LTs. What issues can this cause me?

Re: hole in Y-pipe

an annoying leak, and depending on where the O2 sensor is, a false reading.

Just get it fixed.

Or you could just put a band clamp around it.

Might not be a bad idea to clearance that bolt so you don't poke another hole in the Y pipe after it's fixed.

Any muffler shop can fix that up for you.

Re: hole in Y-pipe

the bolt has been moved. I think ill take it to a muffler shop. But would this effect my O2s with the hole there or anything? is it making emissions easier to pass for me with that hole?
