Higher idle than programmed.
Higher idle than programmed.
I went to PCM For Less and got my car tuned for boltons and so forth, and also requested RPM idle to be at 750, as of now I idle between 1000-1150
Now I did have problems with the IAC previously with the car and it needed to be replaced... How would I go about getting the idle to go down? Anything to check?

Don't forget about the difference between the gauge and PCM values....most if not all dash gauges (tach, speedo, coolant, etc.) tend to read higher values than the PCM. My tach reads ~200 rpm higher than actual.
I'd say there's a very good chance that yours reads ~300 rpm high and you're actually idling at 750 rpm...
Do you know what your rev limiter set to? If so, a quick check would be to run it up 'till the limiter kicks in and see what the tach shows. If you know it's set to 6000 and the tach swings to 6300 before the limiter engages.....then there ya go.

Yup, you've got to scan it. My tach reads over 1000rpm when PCM idle is set to 850 which really corresponds to around 900 (cam makes it a bit jumpy). IAC counts are good to look at as well. Try to fly around 30-40 counts.

I will try to find access to a scanner.
Your stock tach shouldn't be that far off. I think most are off 100-200 rpm. Mine reads 150 rpm high.
Have you waited for it to go into closed loop (warmed up) to see of the RPM drops? Also, are you an A4? If so, there are different idle settings depending if you are in gear or not.
You can reset your IAC by slightly depressing the gas pedal, start engine, let off gas, wait five seconds, shut car off, wait ten seconds, and start it back up normally.
