Itll cost you alot more if they pull the motor, do the work and reinstall it. You should get another LT1 block and rebuild that, then do the swap.

I ingored the bearing failures when I did my first cam swap, figuring it was sloppy install or user error. I took every precaution I could and was meticulous. Still happened. I definitely recommend a new oil pump if you are doing a cam swap. Its cheap insurance.

Read that entire thread of the link I pasted above...I started it on my local F-body club site asking the same type of question (my situation is VERY similar to yours) and got a lot of interesting and great feedback from those that had experience...
