High knock count after plug change?

I put a new set of plugs in yesterday and today I drove the car ad logged it with datamaster and my knock count is around 23,500 (no retard at all)

Befor I changed the plugs my count was the same as always 1300ish.

Loose wire maybe (i checked them like 3 times they seems to be good)

The actual value in the "knock count" field is not important. Its how fast its changing that matters, and even then it may not cause any knock retard. The only thing you need to look at is "knock retard".

There is no "normal" value for knock count. Its a field that increments up based on the PCM's internal calculations based on conditions it feels may cause knock. It starts at "0", and increments up, often increasing by a few thousand counts at startup. When it reaches somewhere in the 60,000 range it resets to "0" and starts all over again.

Knock count can cause knock retard, but it seems like only after the knock sensor has picked up knock. But is does not "increment" based on knock sensor readings.

Okay I just went and did another scan, When the car is idling the knock count is 1100. When i rev the car it jumps up and and up reved it to around 3K and the knock when to 4500. I also do have a slight exhaust rattle in my Y pipe. This may have also effected it? But the knock count was fine before i changed the plugs.

Either way it seems to run okay.

when logging my 93 with Datamaster the knock count is just buzzing. Resets back to zero in just a matter of 10 seconds or so. I don't get any retard though. At one point I was told this was a problem with datamaster.
