Hi, I have a fan/service engine related problem

Please help, I drive a 94 Z-28 Camaro

The problem goes as follows:
. The fan goes on too early which makes the service engine light go on at the same time.
. The fan and service engine light is steady on.
. The only time the service engine light/fan goes off is when at a stop while foot on the brake. Than it will work like normal.
. If thrown in park or driven again the cycle continues.

Please help me with your knowledge, this car is my baby.

You have it backwards. The SES is causing the fan to come on. It is programmed to do that. Scan your car to find what is causing the SES and you will likely locate your problem.

i bought my 94 Z not to long ago and if its cold out and i start it up, about 8 seconds later the fans kick on, every single time, and stay on, i thought that was normal? haha why is my car doing that? maybe the previous owner wired the fans to kick on like that to keep it cool, i have no clue, so is it normal then? thanks
