Not likely, but depends where in the head the hole is, and how big it is. Is the "hole" in the combustion chamber? If so, trash it. You should be able to find a used head for $100 or less. Cheaper than attempting to repair an aluminum head.

One option because the car is over 20 years old may be an entire original equipment replacement.

RockAuto has the ACDelco replacement for $226. Here is the info on it for 96 Z28........FLS1077 or use #19179528

ACDelco GM Original Equipment Fuel Pump and Sender Assemblies consist of a fuel level sender, an electric fuel pump, and a jet pump. The jet pump maintains a consistent fuel level inside the internal fuel pump reservoir. These assemblies are equipped with quiet Generation 4 turbine pumps with integral strainer socks. These original equipment fuel pump and sender assemblies have been manufactured to fit your specific GM vehicle, providing the same performance, durability, and service life you expect from General Motors.

It is basically disconnect the fuel fittings and electrical connector, and remove the old one, and then install the new one, and connect the fuel lines and the electrical connector.

You should also replace the fuel filter at the same time !

Prices from the GM dealerships are over $300, and other websites the prices vary from $240 to $400

Walbro 255lph. Buy an upgraded harness while you're atit. DO NOT buy on eBay...lots of them are Chinese knock-offs.

If Racetronix is stil in business they can certainly help you...
