93 LT1 Plug Wire help

Ok so my 93 LT1 has been warming up the plug wires. I've got headers and have tried several routing options and heat boots. Pretty sure this time I want to buy a set of OTVC wires. Some Google and Ebay searches have led me to the MSD 32149 wires but aside from and Ebay title I can't really confirm that these wire will fit OTVC's on my 93 LT1. I'd love to hear from anyone that may have had a similar experience with this problem.

Here's the link to the Ebay set I found.

Thanks for any help you can provide to me.

What is interesting is that when I entered my 1995 or your 1993 Z28 into their compatibility chart it says that the one you linked is not compatible. Here is what it said......

This part is not compatible with 1993 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 Coupe 2-Door 5.7L 350Cu. In. V8 GAS OHV Naturally Aspirated.

Re: 93 LT1 Plug Wire help

I used the 32143 MSD wires. Ran the wires from underneath and pulled them in close to the block with wire ties. No issues and you can't see them.

Re: 93 LT1 Plug Wire help

Your link was for #32149. Glad you found the one that you needed.

The pictures of the engine compartment seem to be from a vehicle different than the picture of the Camaro shown in your first posting.

Re: 93 LT1 Plug Wire help

Gaedbo, I'm still chasing the correct part number for the "Over The Valve Cover" LT1 wires. The engine bay photos were posted by LT1-XJS and they are the underside plug wires. Still scratchin' my head.

Re: 93 LT1 Plug Wire help

Sorry, my bad. I guess my old age is getting the best of me !

I wonder, would the kit lt1-xjs be a good choice for you to go under instead of on top ?

Anyhow, hope you find the one you really want, good luck.

Re: 93 LT1 Plug Wire help

If you are serious about over the valve cover routing, make your own. Just buy the expensive cutting and crimping tool and buy something like MSDs wire and terminal ends. It's an easy job, just cost a little more.

Re: 93 LT1 Plug Wire help

Indynut , I contacted the Ebay seller with this question....

I am looking for the item # I should use for a 1993 Camaro Z28 LT1 for OTVC Kit MSD 8.5mm. Color Red, and for Color Black

He responded back with this answer....

New message from: 99blancoss Top Rated Seller(1,801Red Star)

Good morning, so there's 2 kits to choose from, one is an extreme (161968668193), the other is just your basic kit (151012527228). When you order please leave info like color wire boot type and year of engine because the coil wires are different lengths. Also don't forget the loom color too.
Thank you,
Sincerely,
customsparkplugs.com

I went to this links website. Looks like all you have to do is select your options and purchase. Here is the link.....

Hope this gets you closer to your answer you are looking for, gaedbo.
