Hesitation problem

Ok, here's the problem. If in neutral and rev it up it goes to rev limiter no problem. If in gear, just before 5k it just stops accelerating as if I let off the gas. When I shift, it keeps doing the same thing till in neutral, then it will rev freely again. WTF is up with it?

Check your TPS, mine was doing the same thing. I replaced the TPS and it hasn't done it since.

Tps can get dead spots in the rpm range. They are pretty cheap for our cars and take like 5 minutes to change. Its on passenger side of tb.You don't even have to set them just plug and play.

I think you can check them but I would just throw one in.Especially if you have high miles.I put one in my car last week.

How do I check the coil to see if it is working correctly? It isnt missing at all. It will rev to redline if like say 1/2 throttle leaving in gear or in neutral at WOT, but in gear at WOT it just falls on its face around 5k, as if I let out on the gas.
